Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Wirebench (“the app”, “we”) does and does not do with information, in plain terms. It covers the iOS, iPadOS, and Android versions of the app, published by Janbein System.

Information we do not collect

We do not ask for, receive, or store any of the following:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
• Any account or sign-in credentials — Wirebench has no accounts.
• Your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or calendar.
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA / AAID). Wirebench does not request tracking permission and contains no advertising SDK.
• Analytics, crash telemetry, usage events, or behavioural profiles. There is no analytics SDK in the app.

Wirebench does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, and does not sell or share personal information with anyone for advertising purposes.

Information stored on your device

The app saves your work and preferences locally so it behaves sensibly between launches. This data stays in the app’s private storage on your device. It is never uploaded to us, and we have no way to read it.

Deleting the app removes all of this data from your device. You can also clear calculation history from within the app at any time.

Purchases

Wirebench is free to use. Wirebench Pro is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks additional features. Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see or receive your payment details, card number, Apple ID, or Google account.

To validate a purchase and to restore it on your other devices, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. as its purchase infrastructure. When you buy or restore Wirebench Pro, RevenueCat receives:

• A randomly generated anonymous identifier for the installation. It is created by the SDK, is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or Google account, and we never attach any personal attribute to it.
• The store receipt / transaction identifier, the product purchased, and the purchase date.
• Basic technical information sent by the SDK, such as device model, operating system version, app version, and the country inferred from the network address of the request.

This exchange happens only when you open the purchase screen, complete a purchase, or tap Restore purchases. It is used solely to confirm entitlement — never for advertising or tracking. RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf as a service provider; see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy, the Apple Privacy Policy, and the Google Privacy Policy for their own practices.

Sharing and printing

Wirebench can generate a PDF report or share a calculation result. These files are built on your device and handed to your system share sheet or print dialog. They travel only to the destination you pick — a message, a file, a printer. Nothing is sent to us, and no copy is retained anywhere else by the app.

Links to other websites

A few reference screens link to external resources such as standards bodies or datasheets. Opening one hands you to your browser, and the destination site’s own privacy policy applies from that point on. We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, those sites.

Children

Wirebench is a technical reference tool intended for a general audience of students, hobbyists, technicians, and electrical workers. It is not directed at children under 13, and because it collects no personal information, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children of any age.

Data retention and your rights

Data stored on your device is retained until you delete it or uninstall the app. Purchase records held by RevenueCat, Apple, or Google are retained by those companies under their own policies — typically for as long as needed for entitlement, accounting, and legal obligations.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data relating to you, and to object to or restrict certain processing (for example under the GDPR in the EEA/UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California). Because we hold no account and no identifying data, in almost every case there is nothing for us to look up. If you believe there is, write to us at the address below with your purchase receipt and we will act on your request within 30 days.

Security

App data lives in the operating system’s private per-app storage, protected by the device’s own sandboxing and encryption. Communication with the purchase service uses encrypted HTTPS connections. No system is perfectly secure, but because the app holds no personal data, the exposure from any single device is limited to your own settings and saved calculations.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
